Profile
Ms. Daniels is well known as a youth oriented TV host of Mai Time and Showstoppers and as a co-host on Mai FM’s breakfast show.
In 2002, the New Zealand Family Planning Association’s International Development Unit (FPAID) recruited Stacey Daniels to raise awareness in New Zealand of population, reproductive health and development issues in Asia and the Pacific. Stacey’s activities with FPAID have included a study tour to Cambodia and Thailand, where she spent time at a garment factory, a maternity health centre, and a "Friend" project working with street kids. Her experiences, which she says have changed her life, were reported in a NZ Women’s Weekly cover story, and on TV NZ’s Mai Time and Good Morning. Further, Stacey Daniels participated in a Pacific Regional Youth Congress on HIV/AIDS, where she chaired the session on HIV/AIDS in the media.
