The Irish Family Planning Association (IFPA)compiled a Parliamentarian's Briefing Kit that consists of information addressing women's rights, youth rights, human stories, the Face to Face Campaign, and what needs to be done. The Briefing Kit informs Irish Parliamentarians on the importance of increasing the proportion of funding for overseas reproductive health services. Tony O'Brien, Executive Director of the IFPA, says in the introduction, "In an interconnected world, we all benefit from ensuring that people everywhere enjoy the human right to family planning just as we do now in Ireland. The prospects for peace and economic development depend, among other things, on sustainable population growth and meeting human needs. Without continued commitment, we will not succeed."
Mary Banotti, M.E.P. and Face to Face Campaign Spokesperson for Ireland, promoted the Briefing Kit and the issues through speeches at the EU, public appearances and in a full-page advertisement in The Irish Times.
